Colombian rock will once again take over the city's artistic viewpoint with a new edition of Tortazo Rock, which this year focuses on the encounter between musical memory, the relevance of historic bands, and the strength of new sounds. Next Saturday, June 13, from 2:00 p.m. onwards, the Teatro al Aire Libre La Media Torta will host this free day-long celebration of Bogotá's rock diversity and legacy.
The lineup includes performances by groups that have marked the national scene, including bands that have played at Rock al Parque, Festival Estéreo Picnic, and international festivals. Expect a vibrant atmosphere with garage sounds, DIY spirit, and the energy that characterizes this gathering. Additionally, Tortazo Rock dialogues with the history of Rock al Parque from a symbolic place: La Media Torta was the birthplace of that festival.
To make the most of it, arrive early, wear comfortable clothes, and bring water. The event is outdoors, so check the weather and prepare for an afternoon of non-stop music. Admission is free and no ticket is required, but capacity is limited.
La Media Torta, located at Carrera 7 with Calle 1, is one of Bogotá's most iconic open-air theaters, with a capacity of over 4,000 people. It has been the cradle of major festivals and a fundamental space for the city's culture. This edition of Tortazo Rock promises to be a tribute to the history of Colombian rock and a showcase for new generations.
